A. K. Garr is a Ph.D. cognitive neuroscientist with a background in animal cognition, decision-making, and moral psychology. She was a research fellow under the supervision of Frans de Waal and a volunteer for the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute. Her research interests are evolution of morality, consciousness, and moral decision-making, with specific attention to how humans can be better than they are.
